People around me have been complaining about november since days. They keep saying that there isn’t another month as sad/boring/grey as it. Personally I don’t agree, but I guess my opinion doesn’t count as I’ve got the habit to fall in love with every new month and declare it my personal favorite. But I have to admit that November can be a bit grey, so I worked on a list of things to do in order to make it colorful and have some fun.
1. Dye your hair red. Nothing better to enlighten the grey around. Here and here some inspirations.
And don’t forget to play with make up: gold, copper, orange, taupe. Experiment, play, have fun!

2. Decorare casa.
2. Decorate your house. Be creative: you can follow the seasonal trends or use Christmas lights to enlighten a little corner (I hang a set of lights on my bed and at night the effect is amazing), or follow a random theme that inspires you

3. Iniziare una collezione fotografica. Come funziona?
3. Start a photographic collection. Now, how does it work? Basically you just need a camera (or a smart phone) and a subject for your collection. Then, cover yourself and go out for a walk.
I recently started to take pictures of graffitis and street art here in London. It’s so relaxing! Because you have to focus on finding what you’re looking for, you won’t have time to think bad or sad thoughts, plus you’ll get to notice tons of things you have never noticed before and you’ll develop a good attention to details.
Looking for some ideas? You could focus on shops signs, windows, animal shaped clouds… Or you can look for a specific shape, such as circle, triangle or whatever you like. Or why not to focus on a color? You really have no limits!
5. Plan an artistic date with your girlfriends. You don’t really need any special skills: your aim is to share, play with colors and enjoy yourself while creating, not to be chosen to exhibit in a museum ;)
Acrylic paint, scrapbooking, crochet, collage are just some ideas.
6. Facciamoci uno scrub fatto in casa. :)
6. Homemade scrub. What’s better than indulge in a treatment for yourself? Having your treatment done homemade!

7. Choose a book you love and totally immerse yourself in it. You can make it your seasonal inspiration. Begin with doing some deep researches about the author. Then you can collect several different editions. Fill a notebook with quotations, drawings and pictures. Watch the movie (if there’s any) that have been done out of it - and have fun criticizing it. Get inspired from the clothes worn at the time of the story. You can even play your hero/heroin and face your daily life as if you were him/her.
My friends know how much I love wandering around old english cemeteries, especially when it’s foggy. What they probably don’t know is that most of the time I’m playing Wuthering Heights in my head and trying not to call Heatcliff out loud :)
