qui, poi però i mesi sono passati, la vita, il lavoro e altre mille piccole cose si sono messe in mezzo e non vi ho più aggiornato.
Ma non mi sono fermata. Accostare colori e materiali, sentire il filo che prende forma tra le mie mani è una cosa che mi piace davvero, mi fa stare bene e mi fa bene e quindi sono andata avanti a provare, sperimentare e ancora lo faccio…
That’s not the first time that I talk about my creations. I did it here and here. Months went by, and life got in the middle along with many other little things and I haven’t updated you in months. So here we go.
I didn’t stop. I just love putting colors and textures together and I really enjoy the feeling of the thread between my hands, giving it a shape, thinking about the endless possibilities.
L’ispirazione mi colpisce dappertutto e a volte devo lasciare quello che sto facendo e mettermi all’opera, altre volte se sono fuori casa prendo il mio quadernino e butto giù schizzi e idee a cui lavorare quando ne avrò il tempo
Inspiration comes from everywhere and sometimes I have to stop doing what I’m doing and start crocheting. If I happen not to be home, I grab my notebook and write down new ideas.
Durante lo scorso inverno ho avuto anche la fortuna e il grandissimo piacere di essere contattata da un paio di negozi di Londra. All’inizio sono stati momenti di panico e di “ma chi - io??”, ma poi alla fine mi sono lanciata ed è stato bellissimo. Ricorderò sempre con particolare piacere le fredde giornate - e ancor più le nottate - passate a provare, accostare, fare e disfare come una matta. Raramente nella vita mi sono sentita tanto presa e tanto felice.
Last winter I even got the chance (and the pleasure) to get in touch with couple of shops here in London. At the very beginning I was like “Who? Me? Are you kidding me?”, but then I decided to face my fears and give it a try and it was so worthy. I will always remember with joy those cold days - and late nights - spent trying and experimenting.
Negli ultimi giorni, approfittando di giorni eccezionalmente caldi e belli qui a Londra, il mio “studio” si è spostato al parco. Adoro sedermi sull’erba a piedi nudi e far partire le mani all’inseguimento dell’ultima ispirazione. Attualmente si tratta di pezzi più elaborati, dal sapore vintage e romantico. Sto lavorando con un cotone color ecrù vintage avuto in regalo dalla mamma durante una delle ultime vacanze italiane. Lo adoro.
Lately I’m taking advantage of the nice weather here in London (such a miracle) and I moved my “studio” to the park. I love sitting on the grass with my barefoot and start creating. I’m currently working on new pieces which are much more romantic and vintage inspired. I’m using some beautiful vintage cotton thread that my mom gave me during one of my latest holiday in Italy and I’m really loving it.
