Ho conosciuto Julia Pott a una fiera craft qui a Londra, i suoi disegni mi hanno colpito da subito per i colori, la complessità, per i soggetti usati (spesso animali di grandi dimensioni, ma che in qualche modo riescono a essere più teneri di un gattino). Ho immediatamente acquistato una delle sue zine, piene di magia, che custodisco gelosamente e i cui disegni mischiati a piccole frasi riescono a toccare ogni volta il cuore e i ricordi di chi la sfoglia.
I met Julia Pott in a craft fair here in London and I fell immediately for her illustration. I love them for their color, their complexity, the characters (usually very big size dressed animals which, somehow, look cuter than a kitten). I bought one of her zine which is really filled of magic.

Ispirandosi alla moda, al cinema, alla letteratura, ma anche a piccole cose quotidiane, ricrea piccoli mondi a cui conferisce sempre un'aura di poesia e leggerezza, grazie all'uso di colori tenui, ai tratti irregolari e, chiaramente, alla sua eccezionale bravura.
Her works are inspired by fashion, cinema, literature but also by little daily things. She creates little worlds with a poetic and "light" aura thanks to her use of delicate colors and to her big talent.
