Inspiration: Elizabethtown
Elizabethtown non è un film recentissimo, ma personalmente l’ho scoperto da poco. Ed è stato subito amore! Un film che straconsiglio, leggero ma significativo, uno di quei film che ti fa dire: hey, allora c’è ancora speranza!
I discovered Elizabethtown just a little while ago and I loved it straight away. I’d suggest to you all to watch it, as it’s a light movie but it’s filled with little lessons, one of those movie which makes you think that there’s still something to hope for out of there.

Sherlock Holmes: nothing escapes him
La mia ultima ossessione? Sherlock Holmes. Tutto è iniziato dal film, poi un pò di ricerche e adesso ecco dove potete trovarmi se mi cercate: in compagnia di Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, seppellita sotto un tomo da 10 chili! ;)
My last obsession? Mr Sherlock Holmes. First I saw the film, now I'm constantly with Mr Arthur Conan Doyle, buried under a huge book. ;)

My favorite Christmas Movies
Oggi esco un pò fuori tema, ma voi mi sopporterete perché a Natale siamo tutti più buoni.
Voglio presentarvi i miei film di Natale preferiti. Il fatto è che non sono solo film, sono molto di più: fanno parte di una tradizione. Mi piace guardarli ogni anno, sapere già come vanno a finire (i lieto fine sono obbligatori in questo periodo, su questo non transigo!), condividerli con persone speciali e magari nel frattempo dedicarmi a qualche lavoretto natalizio (quest'anno decorazioni a crochet per l'albero, le vedrete prossimamente).
Today I want to introduce you some of my favorite Christmas movies. For me they aren't just movies: they're part of a tradition. I watch them every year, I already know how they end up (I need happy ending in this period!), I love to share them with special people and, in the meantime, I love to make some Christmas work (this year I'm making some crocheted ornaments).
Al primo posto c'è sicuramente Love Actually, perché c'è dentro tutto: amore, amicizia, famiglia, struggimento, ma anche un'irresistibile ironia dissacrante. Inoltre c'è una fantastica Londra innevata sullo sfondo.
First of all Love Actually, cause in this movie there's everything: love, friendship, family, yearning, but also an irresistible irreverent irony. There is also a fantastic snowy London in the background.
Segue il Grinch, una favola imperdibile che ancora una volta ci ricorda che anche i cattivi possono avere un cuore tenero. Jim Carrey è un grande e la scenografia è pazzesca!
Follows The Grinch, a tale that once again reminds us that even bad guys can have a sweet heart. Jim Carrey is great and the scenography is amazing!
E ora passiamo a The family Man, un film che fa riflettere sulle scelte e sulle priorità (inoltre sono un pò innamorata di Nicolas Cage! ;P).
Then there's The Family Man, a movie that makes you think about choices and priorities (I'm also a little in love with Nicolas Cage ;P).
Segue a ruota Enchanted (Come d'Incanto), che forse non è esattamente un film di Natale, ma è la favola Disney che preferisco. Piace davvero a tutti e la Principessa Giselle è una maga della sartoria e del cucito creativo. Se questo non dovesse bastare a convicervi, aggiungo che c'è Patrick Dempsey, che personalmente adoro e venero. ^^
Another lovely movie is Enchanted, which perhaps is not exactly a Christmas movie, but is my favorite Disney fairy tale. Everyone loves it and Princess Giselle is a magician of tailoring and creative sewing. Plus there's Patrick Dempsey, I adore him! ^^
Infine vi segnalo The Holiday (L'Amore non va in Vacanza), una commedia molto carina sull'amore che c'è sempre e ovunque, a patto di lasciare cuore e mente aperti.
And finally The Holiday, a comedy about love that's pretty much always and everywhere, if you leave your heart and mind open.
E voi avete qualche bel titolo da consigliarmi? Pare che stia arrivando la neve, ci sono un paio di giorni di vacanze, albero e presepe da fare e io non vedo l'ora di fare una bella scorpacciata di film.
